Position: Quality Assurance Manager
Reporting to: Factory Manager
Location: Tanga
Primary Responsibility
Responsible for ensuring that the quality of the company's products meets the required standards.
Major Accounting
- Improve the efficiency of cement production compared to established standards and procedures by analyzing interruptions and failures in the production process.
- Contribute to product quality planning and strategy.
- Design and implement a comprehensive quality assurance system, establish quality control objectives and strategies, and manage ongoing quality control procedures to ensure the required level of quality is maintained.
- Design and implement a machinery performance, reporting, and technology test line inspection system to provide meaningful data and control to use in performance improvement.
- Ensure that meaningful records, statistics and reports are kept on the quality of raw materials, intermediaries, final product, and production.
- Preparation of quality certificates for clients.
- Implement, maintain and coordinate all the activities of the applicable Quality Management System (QMS)
- Ensure all safety and environmental regulations are strictly adhered to during daily activities
- Continuous improvement activities
- Ultimately responsible for safe work practices, especially in areas of responsibility.
- Environment: ensure compliance with environmental procedures, identify and manage environmental aspects and impacts in your area, and instill a culture of environmental awareness in your area. Any other role that may be assigned to line management
Education
Bachelor of Chemistry/Bachelor of Chemical and Process Engineering
Quality knowledge and experience
- At least 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance management in the cement industry or equivalent.
- Must have experience in people management, extensive experience in quality system applications and strategies, knowledge of health and safety, identification of environmental risks, legal requirements, and management.
- Expert understanding of laboratory equipment, operations, maintenance, and production.
- He has knowledge of the cement plant process, ISO system auditing, health and safety, environmental hazard identification, legal requirements, and management.
- Planning and organization skills, problem-solving skills, working knowledge of Excel, Word, and email programs, fluency in English, computer literacy, analytical and abstract thinking.
