The incumbent of this position must be based in the Tanzania branch.
Duties and responsibilities
Strategy:
Develop and implement strategic business plans.
Business Budget Management in Tanzania integrates an ongoing review of resources and strategic plans into forecasts/reviews
Formulate and implement plans to introduce the company's new products to the market as outlined in the strategic business direction.

- Achieve specific business goals (retail, wholesale) based on the business plan
- To secure higher market share and targets (size and value) and maintain Samsung's competitive advantage;
- Ensuring that SEC best practices are applied in the management of TZ
- Review activity and marketing reports and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and identify areas for improvement
Head of Operations
- Responsible for managing relationships with distributors, channels, and field force teams eg MOU, Lead Agent Pricing, SCM (Demand to Obsolete Revenue Department), SFMT (FSS and SRR).
- Provide oversight and leadership for channel trade partner conferences; Provide oversight and leadership for all business unit operations;
- Provide market intelligence reports on trends, benchmarking, competitor comparison, and API metrics; Provide oversight and leadership in improving processes and systems to improve quality and efficiency within the business; ·
- Preparation of periodic management reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.). ·
- Oversees the finance function of the business and ensures controls are in place to improve accountability and alignment with business strategies, including debt recovery (AR) management. Department of Personnel Affairs or Department of Human Resources
- Define, discuss and agree on clear performance targets or standards for all direct reports and business partners while monitoring and reviewing their performance to ensure effective performance against agreed targets or standards.
- Provide strategic direction to the team to ensure overall business goals are achieved. Provide leadership and direction for direct reports as well as direction.
- Assist in the recruitment, retention, and development of high-caliber employees.
- Knowledge; Skills and experience are required for this position.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business/Marketing from an accredited institution
- Possession of MBA will be valued, minimum of 10 years of experience in technology /
- FMCG OR-related domains and channel management environment.
- At least 5 years of leadership/managerial responsibility experience with demonstrated ability to develop team skills and competencies
- Proven experience in developing profitable and structured brand-building strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategies that go beyond the company's growth and marketing objectives.
- Ability to drive process improvements leading to better service delivery, technology utilization, and improved customer/end-user experience
- Proven experience in distribution management, motivating partners to redouble efforts to improve business within the specified region;
