PSI is looking for Experienced Group Leaders (COP) to lead the management, coordination, and reporting of all activities under a 5-year, $40 million funded by USAID/PMI in Tanzania. The ability to manage malaria cases malaria in pregnancy and surveillance in the public and private sectors while retaining earnings from previous PMI investments.
COPs require leadership and significant management experience.
Proven track record of managing successful relationships with governments, donors, and the malaria community
Commitment to capacity development and experience in executing successful USAID-funded projects of similar scale and scope.
Their primary responsibility is to ensure that activities produce results as stipulated in their annual action plans. with the specified quality standards and within the time and cost limits set The Conference of Parties will serve as the primary point of contact with USAID and other stakeholders involved in the implementation of the project.
The COP will ensure that the project is presented in national planning, policy, and social forums.
Techniques with USAID/IPMI, Republic of Tanzania, and major malaria stakeholders This position will be based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and monitoring of PMI's malaria management and surveillance activities in Tanzania.
- Supervise the management team in the main project office. as well as key teams in other regions of Tanzania
- Lead internal and external program planning Communication and reporting with sub-partners
- Build relationships and abilities between partners.
- Provide overall project supervision and maintain effective and consistent communication with Tanzanian donors. Action partners and government agencies
- It serves as a center for negotiations with the central and decentralized Tanzanian government. together with donors on important issues related to the activities
- Act as primary contact/project representative prior to USAID/PMI.
- Ensure efficient use and coordination of USAID/PMI resources. and compliance with the financial system and controls with USAID/PMI standards.
- Be sure to provide high-quality periodic reports in accordance with USAID/Project Management Institute requirements.
Professional Qualification
- Master's degree or higher in public health, business, international development, or related fields
- At least 10 years of enhanced experience managing public health projects. (especially malaria) in sub-Saharan Africa or other settings limited by resources
- Proven leadership experience that drives government support and commitment. and working with high-level stakeholders
- Demonstrate management and supervisory skills to lead large teams and projects with similar scope including financial and HR skills
- Recognized expertise in malaria prevention and treatment at the community and enterprise level.
- Knowledge and practical experience in the management, policies, and procedures of activities funded by the United States government.
