The general purpose of the role:
Under the supervision of the CFO, the Financial Assistant provides financial and administrative support to the DRC, partners in accordance with DRC rules and procedures, and donors in national operations in Tanzania and Burundi. The financial assistant contributes to the development and implementation of state strategies, which translate into action plans and daily tasks. The financial assistant provides technical support and/or guidance to the country's operations while overseeing the country's activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Finance & Accounting
- Daily accounting (records) according to the DRC operations manual
- Management of cash and banknotes required for daily financial transactions.
- Ensure that all supporting documents for payment are complete and comply with DRC regulations and financial procedures.
- Manage small cash and cash advances on demand.
- Make sure your cash registers are updated daily to reflect the current status of your current cash number and bank balance in all currencies.
- Issuance of cash vouchers for all cash received.
- Make sure all bank statements are reconciled.
- Set up your weekly cash stock and settlement guarantee in DRC Dynamics.
- Keep a proper record of all financial documents (vouchers, contracts, tender documents, etc.) and keep track of all payments made when necessary.
- Create vendor invoices in Dynamics for high-value purchases.
- Processing payments for sellers by cashier's checks and online banking \
- Processing of taxes and all other legal payments each month before the due date.
- Processing of motivated monthly payments of workers
- Stamp all "paid" vouchers immediately after payment.
- Create and publish project expense logs for a low purchase value
- Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable in DRC Dynamics
- Routine storage and filing of records
- Use DRC Dynamics functions correctly in an area of ​​interest
- Prepares for and participates in annual donor audits and audits.
- Update your financial manager on your daily cash balance by the COB.
- Track employees to make sure all employee advances are settled in the same month.
- Assist the financial manager in other areas, if necessary.

Experience and technical skills:
